DIY Friendship Bracelet
What You Need (for a double wrapped bracelet):
44 inches of 1.5mm leather cord
12 inches of crystal chain or brass ball chain
58 inches of colored hemp or waxed linen cord
one 1/4" hex nut
a pair of scissors
Fold the length of leather cord in half to form a loop. Make sure the loop is big enough to fit around the hex nut, as it will serve as the clasp. Wrap the tip of the hemp around the leather cord at least 5 times, working in the opposite direction, to secure the loop.
Place the crystal chain along the leather cord with the end of the chain meeting the end of the wrap. Holding the crystal chain against the leather cord, wrap the hemp around tightly.
Continue wrapping while checking it for fit around the wrist.
When you have reached the end of the crystal chain, wrap the linen cording around the leather cord 3-6 more times. Tie a knot with all three strands.
Pull the strands through the hex nut and tie a second knot.
Trim the strands with scissors and your friendship bracelet is complete!
