Fun Fall Recipes



Apples are the perfect ingredient for the best fall recipes! There are so many things you can make with them and we're going to share a few with you. 

Sugar and Spice Apple Chips

Amazing healthy snacks for this fall are apple chips. These are super quick and easy to make and you only need a few cheap ingredients! They can also make for great gifts for friends and family. 

Must-have Ingredients: 

3 medium apples (your choice of sweet apples)

Optional Ingredients: 

A few tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
             Less than a teaspoon of Chinese 5 spice            

Cooking Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit

2. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper

3. Slice apples thinly, perpendicular to the core, using a mandoline or knife
    
Hint: The thinner you slice them, the faster they will bake and the crispier they will be  

4. Sprinkle the slices with sugar and spices (for sweeter chips, dip the slices in a mixture of sugar and spices)

5. Lay the apple slices on the prepared baking sheets

6. Bake for a total of 2 hours, turning the slices once halfway through baking

7. Let cool completely and enjoy!

Autumn Punch


Makes: 10-12 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Chill Time: 4 hours

Ingredients:  

2 teaspoons of whole cloves
1/2 of a vanilla bean (split lengthwise)
1 64 ounce bottle of apple-cranberry juice
4 medium purple and/or green plums (pitted and sliced)
1 750 milliliter bottle of Gewurztraminer (or other fruity white wine)
          Ice cubes           

Cooking Directions:

1. Place cloves and vanilla bean in center of a 6-inch square of 100% cotton cheesecloth
2. Bring corners of cloth together; tie closed with clean string
3. Pour apple-cranberry juice into a large pitcher
4. Add plums and spice bag
5. Cover and chill for 4-24 hours
6. Remove and discard cheesecloth bag
7. Stir in Gewurzstraminer
8. Serve drink and plum slices over ice
